Genres I read (in order of preference):

1. fantasy (high fantasy is preferred over urban and magical realism)
2. science fiction
3. (darker themed) contemporary (this includes thrillers, mysteries, and coming-of-age)
4. historical

Genres I do not read (in order of dislike; 1 being most disliked):

1. erotica
2. romance (including fluffy romance)
3. true crime
4. self-help
5. autobiography

Age groups I read:

1. young adult
2. middle grade
3. adult and new adult
